I love this yoga mat!! It’s the perfect height for me. Being 174cm tall I find regular yoga mats just a bit short, but this one has enough room that I don’t have to think about where I am placed on the mat. It’s also non slip and always stays in place, perfect for at home yoga practice or in the studio. Everything is such high quality and feels luxurious to use. Thanks Valka Yoga.
We love this mat! My husband is 6'4" and really needs the extra length. We can take and use this mat anywhere! Especially good as an impromptu blanket. It's super easy to clean and after almost a year of use, has not signs of wear! Definitely buying a second for me!
First time I've tried a cork mat Pros- The extra size means I actually can stay in complete contact with mat. Excellent grip, only mat I've felt stable while practicing wheel. Beautiful smell, we spend a lot of time with our faces on the mat and breathing in the natural cork smell is very refreshing. Great for hot yoga, if sweating during practice I use just water and wet througly then towel dry off the mat before leaving studio, drys quickly and is fresh for next time. Both mat and yoga wheel seem well made and look great, a good combo. Cons- not as comfortable as thicker mats when practicing yin, but I find placing another mat underneath resolves this. Weight is more than most other mats. Have been recommending to others!

Good length and thickness, but the mat smells like chemicals. Strong glue odour. I've had it two years and smell hasn't gone away. Marketing makes these mats sound natural, however I'm suspicious about what chemicals are really used. Not pleasant to put your face against in long poses. Also, I still need to wet the mat during a session of yoga to ensure grip. It hasn't become more grippy over time.
I loved my Grand Yoga Mat so much that I surprised my wife with an well over due upgrade of hers. I'm not sure how to describe it, but the cork really transforms my experience. I roll out my mat with the anticipation of that of a little kid Christmas morning. So good!
When not in use, I can leave this mat rolled up in the living room because it blends in to the decor without appearing cluttered, making it quick and easy to get at for morning practice. I love using mat. Other mats I tried were either too slippery, or too grippy - better, but cold on cold mornings. This is just right in every way. I'm glad I chose the slightly longer one.
Absolutely love this mat and Yoga block. I’m a life coach. I have been looking for something like this for years as most yoga products out there goes completely against the essence of Yoga which is to live in harmony with Nature. I am so glad i chose the Grand. It was worth a few extra dollars for that extra length and width. I am not excessively tall (173cm) but i have really appreciated bei g able to fully comfortably stretch out on this mat. I love the smell and the feel. A little spray with water helps with grip. Really appreciative of the care taken to ensure the environmental standards of this mat.
Being 196cm it's a welcome change to find a mat I fit on. Size aside, the overall quality and performance of this mat exceeded my expectations; admittedly I waited about a month to post a review to be sure that each use is the same. The high grip levels make it extremely comfortable to be able to move certain ways without fear of slipping due to sweat as well as provide enough insulation. Very sturdy high quality product from great people who had the mat posted quite quickly given the circumstances at the time. Highly recommend for those a bit taller or those who want some more room

The folks at Valka are awesome. I can't rave about them enough. I pre ordered my Grand Yoga mat, but due to Covid the delivery was delayed, at no fault of Valka Yoga. In the mean time they sent me a premium cork yoga mat while I was waiting for my grand yoga mat. Now, I dont know about you, but I have never had a company so will willing to help a customer out. Best customer service ever. My new Grand Mat is fantatsic I am 6ft tall and all the other mats I was using just did not cut it. With my mat I got a bag and a yoga strap, all fantastic quality. I will definalty use this company again.

Love but have to spray with water every time before and during use otherwise I just slide around. Would still rather do this than practice on a PVC mat. Once there is some moisture it's all good!

Great mat, very good for hot yoga as it never gets slippery no matter now much sweat gets on it. Definitely get the longer mat uf you're tall, it makes all the difference.
I bought one for me and another for my husband. They look beautiful on the wooden floor. Now, we can stretch without slipping and have some joint support during positions. The large size is perfect for us. We are 5'8 and 6'0.

Such a beautiful mat. Feels so lovely to be on, sturdy and supportive, and lays flat even on first use. I've looked into a few cork mats and I settled on this one and I'm so glad I did. Fits into my yoga bag, which I was a little concerned being larger size that it wouldn't, but it fits easily. Rolls up really well and isn't difficult to roll. Best mat I've used. It arrived today and I could immediately try it out, there's no strong smell (I'm very sensitive to smells). Other non-toxic I'd tried before had a smell immediately but not this one, this is great. Looking forward to many hours on this mat. And I feel excited to get on next time rather than previously there was always a little niggling feeling because I didn't feel all that supported underneath me. Now I do. Thank you for the love clearly put into this mat.
I'd like to be clear from the start, that I'm not a hard core yoga person. So I'm reviewing as a gentle user of the mat. And I'm very happy with it. My criteria, when I went on the yoga mat hunt, was long (I'm 6'4") and made from more benign materials. My new mat ticks the first box easily, and of all the mats I saw, seems the most benign on the environment. I like its feel and warmth and colour and I sincerely hope it lasts me the rest of my life. It also arrived promptly. Definitely recommend.
